Dear Colleagues,

This week, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has published Guidance on Motor Vehicle Agreements. This guidance specifically covers agreements related to the purchase, sale, or resale of aftermarket goods for motor vehicles. You will find the full details of this guidance included in the newsletter. Our legal team at TLT LLP will provide a review of the guidance within the next few days.

Also this week, we received the latest SMMT figures for May, highlighting growth in both new car and light commercial vehicle registrations. This ongoing upward trend is incredibly encouraging and is expected to continue throughout the summer months, bringing renewed optimism to the automotive sector.

Finally, on Monday we are going to release the results for the Summer 2023 Edition of the National Motorcycle Dealers Association (NMDA) Dealer Attitude Survey (DAS). We have joined forces with a new data analytics company Metryx, to provide a new, slick and refreshed look. The NMDA DAS runs bi-annually and serves as a crucial platform to gather the collective voice of motorcycle dealers. If you would like to receive a copy of the Dealer Attitude Survey results, please reach out to Oliver.nurser@rmif.co.uk.
