NFDA will be responding to the House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee Call for Evidence on the upcoming 2030 and 2035 phase-out deadlines. The inquiry aims to understand how the Government will achieve these phase-out deadlines for non-zero emission vehicles and explore the main obstacles and barriers to meeting these targets and to understand Government’s progress towards decarbonising vehicle sales by this earlier date.

To help us with our consultation response, and with a government election on the horizon, NFDA has put together short survey in order to better understand member’s attitudes and opinions towards the 2030 ban of new internal combustion engine sales across the UK. We would like to know how viable our members see this target as being achievable and how those who will be directly affected by the change perceive the transition. The survey takes 5 minutes to complete and will remain anonymous in its entirety. In addition to our consultation response, NFDA will compile the data and use it as evidence for our visits to the House of Lords as well as the upcoming Conservative, Labour and Lib Dem Party Conferences to share with MP’s, as the voice of automotive retailers.

Finally, a reminder that NFDA’s tour to the NADA Show is back and will be returning to Las Vegas! From the 1 February – 4 February, we will be taking a number of UK dealers and automotive stakeholders to Nevada to celebrate one of the biggest automotive events of the year. In this edition of NFDA news you will find an article that outlines all of the package benefits and how to register your interest.
