Next week the Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, is set to deliver his Autumn statement, a pivotal point in the year for UK businesses and consumers. NFDA recently submitted its proposal to Government outlining the key areas which need to be addressed in the budget review to support the automotive sector and overcome challenges hindering the sector. Following a set of problematic announcements, next week’s Autumn Statement presents the opportunity for Government to listen to the calls of the sector by outlining a clear and strategic vision that responds to the industry's dynamic challenges and opportunities, promoting economic growth, innovation, and sustainability.

The AM100 report was released this week and you can view a copy in this edition of NFDA news. Congratulations to all NFDA members that made the top AM100, a true testament to great automotive business for the calendar year. In this edition of NFDA news you will also find a selection of reports and insights delving into finance and insurance regulations, including a FCA webinar to help navigate beyond the consumer duty; free electric vehicle training offered by Energy Saving Trust for Scottish dealerships; understanding charging infrastructure and utilisation across the UK’s Strategic Road Network; and an update from Transport for London regarding a Ultra-Low emission zone (ULEZ) short-term grace period where eligible businesses can apply for a short-term exemption from the ULEZ daily charge for their current non-compliant vehicle, before the 29 November 2023.
