The London EV Show kicked off for its third year on Tuesday 28 November, bringing together the leading manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, thought leaders and decision-makers from across the global automotive value chain across Europe.

The NFDA attended the event on the first day and amongst the speakers who attended the event included key figures of various national governments and also local governments. These included:

  • Seb Dance – Deputy Mayor of London for Transport
  • Jack Chambers – Minister of the State for the Irish Department for Transport
  • Richard Bruce – Director of Transport Decarbonisation for the UK Department for Transport
  • Jon-Ivar Nygard – Minister of Transport for the Norwegian Ministry of Transport
  • Andy Street – Mayor of the West Midlands
  • Mete Coban – Cabinet Member for Climate Change, Environment and Transport at Hackney Council

It was great to hear how our European counterparts have implemented their net zero goals and also how local governments within the UK have approached net zero.
