Continuing tradition, NFDA’s Drive My Career (DMC) will be running its #DMCApprenticeTakeover campaign to encourage the younger generation to explore the apprenticeship route in the automotive industry.

National Apprenticeship Week is the annual celebration of apprenticeships that will take place from 6 - 12 February. For the fifth consequential year, Drive My Career will conduct their #DMCApprenticeTakeaway campaign.
DMC will be sharing the success stories of current apprentices across social media, to promote retail automotive as a great and diverse industry to start your career in and raise awareness of apprenticeships in our sector.

To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, DMC members will be encouraged to share stories about their apprentices on social media, using the hashtags #DMCApprenticeTakeaway and #NAW2023. These posts can include success stories, or even funny stories, about your apprentice’s day to day work, but don’t forget to mention @DriveMyCareer to allow us to share your posts across our media channels!

Previously, the campaign has reached over 600,000 people across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn thanks to apprentices’ testimonials, videos, quotes and more. Like every year, there will be prizes for the most-engaged participants.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about how you can get involved in celebrating National Apprenticeship Week, please email Annaluce.cavalmoretti@rmif.co.uk.

Drive My Career is the employment platform launched by the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) in February 2018 to make the motor retail sector more attractive to young jobseekers and connect potential candidates with their local retailers.
