Members of the Prospect Union will be taking industrial action over civil service wide concerns, which will include joining planned strike action on Wednesday 15 March.

Strike action is likely to affect some of DVSA’s vehicle services, including heavy vehicle MOTs.

We are unable to confirm what impact this action will have on testing hours scheduled at Authorised Testing Facilities (ATFs).

Not all DVSA staff are Prospect members and, even if they are, they might choose not to take part. So, we will not know which ATFs are affected until the action takes place.

Scheduled testing time

We are advising vehicle operators who have an annual test booked on 15 March to attend as planned, unless they are contacted directly.

If a vehicle standards assessor has not attended your site within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, please contact your network business manager or email contactnbmteam@dvsa.gov.uk.

Your network business manager will review any testing hours which are impacted by the strike action.

To help customers, we encourage you to contact them directly if you find out their test booking is affected.

Keeping checking for updates
