Robinson continued “Due to the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ) regulations that come in to play in January 2012 we would expect to see a continued boost in sales of LEZ friendly truck and vans. Instead sales in September were up only 9% in comparison to September last year. It appears the current uncertainty surrounding the economy is causing a cautious approach from businesses.”

The latest new van and truck sales figures show month on month sales were up 8.8% compared to September 2010 and up 20.9% on the rolling year. Overall truck registrations were up 3.6% in comparison to September last year, while overall van registrations were up 9.4% on September last year.
