“With private vehicle registrations outperforming pre-recession volumes it is evident that consumer confidence in buying cars is back on track” said Sue Robinson, Director of the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) which represents franchised car and commercial vehicle retailers across the UK, commenting on the SMMT’s new car registration figures.

New car sales figures, released today, show month on month sales were up 11% compared to May last year. Private registrations increased by 20.9

Robinson continued “The new products and services offered by dealers and manufacturers during 2013 have in no doubt influenced many consumers to buy. However competitive pricing and strong incentives remain important if the sales trend is to continue throughout 2013.”
