ABOUT US

The National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) Commercial Vehicle division represents franchised van & truck dealers in the UK.

It promotes the interests of franchised dealers in the UK through dialogue with manufacturers and Government and organisations such as Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) plus other trade associations.

Our membership consists of dealers that range from the large dealer groups to small family owned van & truck dealers. Members represent all the main franchises available in the UK and offer a wide range of services.

The NFDA Commercial Vehicles division provides a number of services to its members:

  • Lobbying UK and EU Government
  • Liaising with industry trade bodies and other stakeholders
  • Business guidance and advice
  • Legal and HR support
  • DVSA and AFT Testing
  • National truck council quarterly meetings
  • Press comments on dealer issues

To ensure that are aware of and understand the issues affecting van & truck franchised dealers, the NFDA CV division holds a quarterly National Truck Council meeting to discuss the issues that are currently affecting dealers. This acts as a forum to air concerns over future plans and legislation that could affect the wellbeing and viability of commercial vehicle dealers.
