The NFDA is continuing its lobbying activity with the Parliamentary Engagement Programme which started in 2017 to raise awareness of the retail automotive industry. A number of dealership visits have already taken place around the country and there are more scheduled over the coming months.

On Friday 8 June, Rt Hon Pat McFadden MP visited the Jardine Audi dealership in Wolverhampton and met with Jardine Motors CEO Neil Williamson, Audi Market Area Director, Jon Warnett, and NFDA Director, Sue Robinson.

At the meeting, it was highlighted the importance of the retail automotive sector in terms of investment, employment and training. Topical issues currently facing the industry were discussed, these included: new and used car market, diesel, Brexit and careers in automotive.
