This week, the Cabinet backed the Brexit draft withdrawal agreement presented by the Prime Minister Theresa May. The announcement was followed by a number of resignations including Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab. NFDA will be monitoring the developments closely and keep our members informed. It is encouraging to see that the overall used car market has reached near record highs in Q3, despite disruption in the new car market with the recent introduction of the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) as the latest SMMT’s used car figures show. More information in this week’s news.

At a recent NFDA HR Working Group meeting we had a presentation from Ian Carlier, head of Partnerships at Peopleplus. He briefed all on the opportunities of identifying a relatively untapped source of high-quality part trained employees. Peopleplus deliver education in 10 prisons in the East of England and are looking to expand this provision over the next six months.
