Dear Colleague,

We have recently launched NFDA Northern Ireland (NFDA NI) and a full strategy has now been drawn up with meetings already taking place with Northern Ireland officials. For further details, please contact us.

NFDA’s Drive My Career has hosted its first ‘Supercharge Me’ event to encourage positive discussions around mental wellbeing and support apprentices and young people. The virtual sessions were filled with insights by speakers from Lookers, Ben and Babcock International, and proved hugely successful reaching more than 100 apprentices. Please find more details in the news.

This week we had our regular meeting with the Bank of England where we discussed current market conditions and discuss coming trends for this year and beyond. Our feedback contributes to setting the Bank’s future policy including the interest rates.

In July, we will host three EV Readiness Roadshows in Newbury, Leeds and Northampton. The sessions will be split into four modules to discuss how to ensure your dealership infrastructure is ready for EVs, how to create an ‘EV culture’, qualifying EV customers and overcoming objections, and the challenges and opportunities on the road to 2030/35. Please find more information below and email lena.patel@rmif.co.uk to register your interest to attend.

We are in constant dialogue with our members to address all the issues affecting your business, if you would like to receive any assistance or bring a matter to our attention, please do not hesitate to contact us.

NFDA is the voice of automotive retailers: we are your trade association and we are here to support you. If you would like to contact us, please ring our member helpline at 01788 538303 or email nfda@rmif.co.uk.

Sue Robinson, NFDA Chief Executive
