There has been much uncertainty surrounding the issue of the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) which is a new global regulation (test) for measuring the level of air pollutants, CO2 emissions and energy consumption in light duty vehicles – cars and vans. We are planning to run a workshop for all NFDA members in mid-July in the Midlands and will invite keynote speakers from the industry to discuss the regulation. We will advise you of the date and venue very shortly.

This week I attended Autocar’s 100 most influential British women in the car industry event where Linda Jackson Citroen Global CEO, earned the top accolade. Also from the retail side of the industry, Jardine Motors Group HR director, Clare Martin, won in the Human Resources category. Congratulations to the winners ! See more information on this event below.

We have now completed our latest round of NFDA regional dealer forums. A round-up of the topics discussed is detailed below which include the new and used car markets, changes to WLTP, and finance and insurance issues. I would like to encourage members to attend these forums as it is important that we engage with our members regularly and in turn for members to hear first-hand what your trade body is doing on your behalf.

Finally, following last year’s success, NFDA is working again in partnership with AM. AM Live 2018 will take place on 8 November 2018, at the NEC in Birmingham. The event is free for dealers to attend and registrations are now open: http://bit.ly/2L948KX.

NFDA is your trade association: we represent, you benefit. If you need any assistance, please contact us on the member helpline 01788 538303.
