The Toyota Prius hybrid has been named as the best car to own in Auto Express magazine’s 2019 Driver Power Survey, “the UK’s largest, most comprehensive car satisfaction poll” asking questions on the models UK motorists bought over the past 24 months.

The Prius topped the publication's new car ownership survey with an owner satisfaction score of 93.22%. It was followed closely by the Lexus IS saloon, with a 93.19% rating.

In the survey, there are nine judging categories and the percentage is the average of a car’s scores, which defines its chart position.
