Dear Colleague,

As more people are looking at an alternative to public transport, automotive retailers can now benefit from the increasing interest in both new and used cars. NFDA will continue to liaise with franchised dealers and run regular surveys to monitor the health of the automotive retail sector alongside trends in consumer behaviour.

The deadline of the 31 July to complete the NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey Summer 2020 is fast approaching. Dealers will have received their link to complete the survey online - your feedback is vital, please respond to the survey if you have not done so yet. If you have any questions, please contact nfda@rmif.co.uk.

Following the Government’s publication of the guidance on facemasks, in this week’s news we include an update on the guidelines dealers need to be aware of. Form today, customers visiting dealerships will be required to wear face covering, but currently there is no requirement for dealers to enforce these regulations.

Today, the NFDA F&I Working Group discussed key issues affecting our sector including guidance for finance commissions, SAF, COVID-19 and customer forbearance, FCA fees, as well as NFDA’s liaison with the FLA and FCA. The meeting was very well attended with a wide range of representation.

NFDA is the voice of automotive retailers. We are your trade association, if you require any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our member helpline on 01788 538303.
