Dear Colleague,

The third edition of the NFDA ‘Dealer Reopening’ survey revealed a number of interesting insights into the sector and the current state of the market. Positively, the vast majority of dealerships have now reopened and respondents reported higher sales conversions from online enquiries as well as healthy footfall. We will continue to survey franchised dealers to monitor consumer demand over the coming months. Please find more details in the news.

In line with automotive retailers’ feedback, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has published its data on retail sales which showed an increase of 3.6% in July from the previous month. Sales were slightly above pre-pandemic levels.

The results of the NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey Summer 2020 will be discussed and analysed at the NFDA regional meetings taking place via Microsoft Teams in September. The meetings will have a renewed agenda looking at all the most topical issues facing dealers including dealer/manufacturer relationships and motor finance - we encourage all our members to attend. Please find more information below.
