Dear colleague,

This week, we published the results of the latest NFDA Consumer Attitude Survey Autumn 2018. Positively, the majority of respondents continue to consider franchised retailers professional, trustworthy and the safest option in the aftersales sector. Please find more details below.

It was extremely disappointing to see that the Government has decided to remove the grants for plug-in hybrids and cut those for electric cars. We call on the Government to listen to retailers’ concerns and work alongside the industry. NFDA members should have received a separate email detailing the transition, if you have any questions or require this document, please email louise.woods@rmif.co.uk.

On Thursday, the RMI Annual Dinner took place at the InterContinental Hotel in London. RMI Chairman Peter Johnson outlined the priorities for the retail automotive sector, while the guest speaker, Political Editor Robert Peston gave an insightful and thought-provoking speech on the current political and economic situation of the UK. More details in the news.
