Dear Colleague,
Following our persistent lobbying efforts, this week I received a letter from the newly appointed Minister of State at the Department for Transport, Michael Ellis, confirming that the Government has agreed to grant end-of-series derogations for non RDE compliant cars. RDE will come into force on 1 September 2019 and the derogation will apply to end of series products manufactured at least three months before the implementation of the new law. In May, European new passenger car registrations saw a marginal increase for the first time this year. However, year to date, new car sales across Europe remain down 2.1%. Find more details below.
