NFDA is working with the DVLA on our members’ behalf to ensure that your December Trade Plate renewals are completed easily, quickly and without causing any issues.
December is a busy time at the DVLA, and we urge our members to ensure that forms and payment are being completed correctly and that Trade Plates are kept current.
The DVLA has produced a step-by-step guide (download here) to reduce the amount of application rejections. Currently, a large number is being rejected due to:
· The tick the box declaring whether you are Trade/Dealer/Repairer is not completed
· Incorrect payment amounts
· Errors on cheques including: no signature; words and figures do not match; unacceptable characters in the numbers box
Please ensure that you complete the forms accurately and that payment amounts and methods are correct, so your Trade Plates to be renewed in time.
