Dear Colleague

This week we have included a Corporate Summary Report from the Department for Exiting Europe (DExEU) which includes their plans post Brexit. We continue to work very closely with the Department to ensure the best possible outcome for our sector for a free and frictionless trade.

We are in the process of writing to relevant car manufacturers regarding WLTP. Should you want to discuss this or require further information please contact us and we will keep you updated on the issue.

Included in this week’s news is an update on the development of the NFDA’s ‘Drive My Career’ web portal. I am pleased to report that the number of hits to this unique website has more than tripled since its launch in February. If you are not currently involved in this initiative and would like further information please contact thomas.mclennan@rmif.co.uk

The next round of NFDA regional dealer forums are being held throughout June in Northampton, Cobham, Bristol, York and Warrington. Topics on the agenda include an update on the NFDA’s lobbying activity, the new and used car markets, finance and insurance update, GDPR and DVLA issues. If you would like to take part in your nearest forum please contact louise.woods@rmif.co.uk for details.

Finally, following last year’s success, AM Live 2018, hosted in conjunction with the NFDA, will take place on 8 November 2018, at the NEC in Birmingham. The event is free for dealers to attend and registration is now open: http://bit.ly/2L948KX.
